Job summary

Nourish Early Learning is seeking caring substitutes to support educators when they are away. Substitutes step into various classrooms (infant–school age), follow routines, and provide a warm, supportive presence for children and staff.

This flexible, part-time role is ideal for those who love working with young children and want occasional hours. Experience is preferred but not required; FBI/BCI background checks, CPR & First Aid (onsite), and trainings are provided to ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to different classroom environments.
• Strong communication and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Supporting classroom routines and activities as directed by the lead teacher.
• Supervising children to ensure safety, kindness, and engagement.
• Assisting with play, learning experiences, and caregiving needs (snacks, handwashing, transitions, etc.).
• Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and clean classroom environment.
• Following state licensing and school policies, including child safety guidelines.
• Adhering with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources-i.e. ODJFS
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for children to thrive
