Job summary

Abound Health in Mount Airy, NC, is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide person-centered care on a part-time, minimal hours schedule.

As a DSP, you’ll offer companionship, coaching to learn new skills, and support with daily living activities, health, and safety, while respecting each individual’s dignity. Flexible hours and supportive onboarding help make a meaningful start in healthcare.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reliable, compassionate, and ready to listen.
• Clearance: willingness to undergo a standard background check.
• Transport: A valid driver’s license is preferred to help get our clients out into the community.

Responsibilities

• Be a Companion: Offer friendship, conversation, and encouragement.
• Be a Coach: Help individuals learn new skills, pursue their personal goals, and engage with their community.
