Job summary

The Comforted Kitty in South San Francisco, CA is seeking reliable, independent cat sitters to provide in-home visits while clients are away. This part-time, independent contractor role lets you set your availability and service area, matching you with clients who need care for their cats.

Responsibilities include feeding, cleaning litter, playtime, updates with photos, following care instructions, and occasional medication administration as allowed.

Qualifications

• Experienced with cat care, especially in a pet sitting capacity.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Strong written communication.
• Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes.
• Smartphone with reliable internet & camera.
• Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids).
• Holiday & weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Feeding cats and refreshing water.
• Cleaning litter boxes.
• Giving playtime, affection, or companionship based on each cat’s personality.
• Sending visit updates and photos through our app.
• Following each client’s detailed care instructions.
• Bringing in mail or packages.
• Adjusting lights, blinds, or trash/recycling when requested.
• Administering medication when within your experience and comfort level.
