Comfort Keepers is hiring for in-home non-medical care specialists in New York. Roles involve companionship, assistance with daily living activities, and home safety supervision in clients’ homes. Typical duties include medication reminders, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation support as needed.

The position offers both part-time and full-time hours with an hourly rate of $19.25 to $22.00. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED; CNA/HHA/PCA credentials are encouraged

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must demonstrate satisfactory completion of mandated training.
• CNA's, HHA's, PCA's encouraged, though certification not required.
• Must complete Comfort Keepers training and orientation program.

Responsabilidades

• Performs duties as assigned on the plan of care.
• Assists caregivers on the case as needed to support the plan of care.
• Works with family and administrative staff regarding plan of care.
• Assists with updating plan of care and supporting caregivers.
• Assists the client with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, and ambulation.
• Provides for a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients and family members.
• Provides light housekeeping tasks including laundering of client’s garments and linens and changing the bed.
• Assists in meeting nutritional needs by meal planning, meal preparation, grocery shopping, dishes, and kitchen cleanup.
• Reminds client to take self-administered medications.
• Observes and reports changes in client’s condition to supervisor.
• Establishes and maintains professional communication with clients, family members, and co-workers.
• Participates in in-service and continuing education programs and staff meetings.
• Completes required documentation and maintains client confidentiality.
