Job summary

A leading healthcare language services provider is seeking an ASL Medical InPerson Interpreter in Lone Tree, CO. This freelance position offers flexibility and the chance to expand your interpreting business while facilitating communication for Deaf/Hard of Hearing community members in various medical settings. Candidates must have national certification in ASL interpreting, a thorough understanding of community cultural norms, and the ability to provide premier service at healthcare facilities across the region. Reliable transportation and work eligibility in the US are required.

Qualifications

• Must have HIPAA Training for Business Associates certificate completed within the last year.
• Must be state licensed where applicable.
• Minimum 2 years of in-person ASL interpreting experience within a medical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective onsite interpreting service for consumers.
• Exhibit professional appearance and behavior, including punctuality.
• Adhere to interpreter ethical standards and procedural requirements.

Skills

National certification at or above NAD level 4

Knowledge of the NAD/RID Code of Professional Conduct

Familiarity with Americans with Disabilities Act

Fluency in ASL/English

Customer service aptitude

Education
