Job summary

Utah Community Action is seeking dedicated substitute teachers to inspire young learners and support schools—on your own schedule. The role is on-call and pays $16.90/hour, with opportunities to transition to Classroom Aide and enrollment in the CDA program, which UCA pays for.

As a Substitute Teacher, you will ensure a safe, nurturing environment for infants through preschoolers, plan developmentally appropriate activities, and collaborate with staff and families.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid Training must be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Food Handler's permit course must be completed within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan engaging activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to support development.
• Communicate effectively with staff and families to ensure consistency and safety.
• Maintain routines and provide a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
