Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking an on-call Substitute Teacher to support mixed-age classrooms serving children ages 0–6. No formal Montessori training required; training provided during orientation.

This role offers flexible hours and a path to full-time Assistant Teacher opportunities. You’ll step into classrooms when needed, help with routines, and contribute to a calm, engaging learning environment for young children.

Qualifications

• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• Valid state background check.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Warm, friendly and dependable demeanor.
• Passion for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms as needed to support children and maintain consistency.
• Assist with daily routines and classroom activities across mixed-age groups.
• Help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for children.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care.
• Model patience, professionalism, and kindness in every interaction.
