Job summary

Jovie is seeking a backup nanny to provide in-home childcare with a flexible on-call schedule in Sunnyvale, CA. The role focuses on safe, developmentally appropriate activities for infants to toddlers and requires travel to various families’ homes.

Responsibilities include engaging children, light cleanup after activities, and supporting families with flexible weekday shifts. A strong commitment to communication with a staffing supervisor is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience working with children (paid or unpaid) is required, infant experience mandatory.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Willing and able to travel to various homes in the area.
• Available any 3 or more weekdays for 6–8 hour shifts between 7am and 7pm.
• Commitment to be communicative and responsive to the staffing supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children.
• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child.
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development
