Job summary

U-Connect Transportation is a provider of Upstate NY 24/7 transportation services, seeking a Non-emergency Medical Transportation Driver and a CDL Class B/C Driver. You will transport patients and clients to hospitals, clinics, and residences in a safe, professional manner.

Schedule is flexible withPermanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, or Temporary On-Call opportunities. Starting pay is $15.25 per hour, with CDL-certified drivers earning $30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid New York State Driver’s license and provide a current 10-year DMV printout.
• No more than 1 moving violation or 1 “at fault” accident within the past 3 years.
• Pass a mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Must pass a mandatory criminal background test.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post trip inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Must be able to understand and operate GPS devices and cell phones.
• Must understand instructions in English (both written and spoken).
• Transporting patients and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
• Effectively communicates with dispatch team regarding schedule progress.
• Maintain a professional image and attitude in regards to clients and co-workers.
• Assist clients and patients as needed to safely complete the transfer.
• Must be able to accurately complete daily activity logs & vehicle reports.
• Perform all duties as assigned by the management team.
• Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport, lift up to 50 lbs, and transport wheelchair patients on paved and unpaved surfaces.
