Job summary

Mercy Hospital Ada is seeking a flexible RN for Med Surg under the Gig Nursing Program. Work day or night shifts with no weekend or holiday requirements. Responsibilities include using the nursing process, coordinating care with other departments, and protecting patient confidentiality.

Compensation starts at $40/hour with incentives and a W-2 employment arrangement. Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold an RN license valid in the hiring state or a compact license,

Qualifications

• Required Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Preferred Education: BSN.
• Licensure: Is responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Experience: One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg. For all other specialties, a minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience.
• Certifications: For Med Surg and WC: BLS; For Critical Care (CC): BLS, ACLS; For ED: BLS, ACLS, & PALS
• Preferred Experience: Epic experience

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
