Job summary

Mathnasium in Southwest Minneapolis, MN seeks a highly motivated Instructor to help K-12 students understand and excel in math. You will create a positive, engaging learning environment and leverage technology to tailor learning plans.

Flexible part-time schedule from 1 day to 5 days per week, with instructional periods 3-8pm Mon-Thurs and 9am-1pm Saturdays; prior teaching a plus, advancement opportunities, and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Strong aptitude for math and a passion for STEM.
• High energy and a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Make learning math fun for students
• Find joy helping K-12 students to improve their understanding of math
• Embrace the use and application of technology to facilitate custom, individualized learning plans based on each student's needs
• Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for parents & students
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support that encourages professional growth
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure the success of all students
• Flexibility in learning a different style of teaching in order to best support students
