Job summary

Medina County Schools' Educational Service Center ESC of Medina County in Medina, Ohio is seeking Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Substitutes to provide health services in school settings. These roles support student well-being and safety so students can participate fully in education.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the LPN Substitute delivers health-related services, administers medications, and collaborates with school staff.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing with the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Ohio Educational Aide Permit or willingness to obtain one.
• Current CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and health-related services to students.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and authorized.
• Monitor and document student health conditions and interventions.
• Assist students with medical, physical, and personal care needs.
• Respond appropriately to health concerns, illnesses, and emergencies.
• Support students with chronic health conditions and special medical needs.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to promote student well-being.
• Maintain accurate health records and required documentation.
• Follow all district, ESC, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
• Promote a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment.
