Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is hiring a Restaurant Cook to oversee the Appetite Satisfaction Department, operating Food Production, Grill, Fryer and related tasks. You will prepare and cook orders, portion food, dress items, package orders, and maintain cleanliness across stations.

The role requires flexibility with hours and adherence to uniform and hygiene standards, with emphasis on teamwork and a fast-paced environment. Experience in fast-service is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication skills; basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food orders to meet quality standards.
• Handle food production and portioning.
• Cook on the grill and operate the fry station.
• Dress items to order and package menu items.
• Check product quality, sanitize work areas and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with clean-up and ensure food area is safe.
