Job summary

INNOVATIVE SENIOR HOME CARE LLC in Wayne, PA seeks a Geriatric Care Aide to provide compassionate, non-medical in-home support to seniors, helping them stay safe and independent. You'll assist with daily activities, companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation, following an individualized care plan and reporting changes to the office team.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving tasks including personal care and mobility support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of elderly health issues and safety practices.
• Ability to maintain accurate client care records.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support to senior clients in their homes.
• Assist with personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and safe transfers/mobility within a non-medical scope.
• Prepare simple, nutritious meals, offer assistance with eating as needed, and support any basic dietary preferences or restrictions.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including tidying, dishes, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Offer medication reminders (no medication administration), appointment reminders, and help organize daily routines.
• Provide safe transportation or escort for errands, grocery shopping, and appointments when assigned.
• Observe and promptly report any changes in the client’s condition, mood, or safety to the office or on-call supervisor.
• Follow the care plan and company policies, including all infection-control, safety, and documentation standards
