Job summary

Visiting Nurse Association Community Services in Altoona, PA is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to support CHC Waiver clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, providing companionship, light housekeeping, and medication reminders; training is provided, no prior experience required, and flexible hours with part-time or full-time options.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must pass background checks (criminal, child abuse clearance)
• No certification or prior experience needed—full training provided
• Care recipient must be enrolled in CHC Waiver or looking to get services

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, meal prep
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and tidying up
• Medication reminders (no dispensing)
• Accompany client to appointments and errands
• Follow a care plan coordinated by a CHC service coordinator
