Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited Physician’s Assistant program.
• Registered as a Physician’s Assistant in New York State.
• NCCPA certified.
• Knowledge of Automated medical information systems.
• Ability to administer medications for pediatrics, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Understanding of physiological and psychological patient differences by age.
• Knowledge of routine patient care equipment.
• Knowledge of routine intra-operative Orthopaedic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prescribes medications for the patient.
• Communicates effectively with health care team members and patients.
• Performs emergency, lifesaving procedures in critical situations.
• Coordinates patient care with the Attending Physician and health care providers.
• Assists Orthopaedic Surgeons in the OR for various cases.
• Performs other duties as necessary.
