Job summary

Mountain Valley seeks a passionate Occupational Therapist to assess patients, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct care in a rehabilitation setting. You will document patient progress, educate families, and coordinate with physicians and rehab staff to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities include supervising COTAs, guiding rehab aides, and contributing to facility-wide care planning. A state OT license and CPR certification are required, with six months of long-term care experience

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of occupational therapy.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Current CPR certification.
• Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients to determine rehabilitation needs.
• Provide direct patient care and establish/ administer treatment plans.
• Document patient progress and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, COTA(s) and rehab staff.
• Supervise COTAs and rehab aides; coordinate care within OBRA guidelines.
• Promote ongoing development of clinical skills and maintain professional interaction.
• Ensure punctuality and regular attendance for shifts.
