Job summary

Lennox, a global HVAC leader, seeks a Materials Handler to support the Materials, Assembly, and Maintenance Department. The role involves operating forklifts, loading/unloading, paperwork, and inventory control in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP. This is an hourly position with overtime eligibility and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous experience as a material handler or forklift driver preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must efficiently use MS Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP.
• Basic mathematical skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing large numbers without a calculator.
• Must pass USDOT HAZMAT training when administered.
• No active written or final discipline on file.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) license to operate both ride on and stand on lift trucks.
• Must operate a lift truck in a safe and professional manner.
• Maintain a TEAM-like disposition at all times and work with coworkers or independently as required.
• Establish priorities and transition between tasks smoothly and efficiently.
• Load and unload trailers and flatbed trucks by hand and with a forklift as needed.
• Prepare paperwork such as bills of lading, put away sheets, inbound/outbound truck forms, and no pack slip forms.
• Perform inbound shipment verification: verify part numbers/quantities, check for damaged product, put inventory away neatly, maintain FIFO cadence.
