Job summary

ServiceMaster by McCann is looking for a dependable custodian to maintain clean, healthy environments for our facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, sweeping, mopping, restocking supplies, using PPE, and securing the building at shift end.

Experience is not required, but 1–2 years in custodial work is a plus; we provide on-the-job training. Flexible start times, with part-time and full-time options.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, housekeeper a plus but not required
• Ability to read cleaning instructions
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures
• Cleaning duties include sweeping and mopping floors
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
• Use proper PPE where required
• Open and lock facilities, enable and disable security system as required
• Be dependable, on time and in uniform; contribute to a positive work climate
• Be flexible and able to multitask in a busy work setting
• Respect coworkers and customers; work independently and with quality focus
