Job summary

Braverhood is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional in New York area. The role offers an $18–$20 hourly rate and involves providing one-on-one support in home and community settings to help individuals achieve personal goals and independence. The position supports weekdays and/or weekends with flexible schedules.

Responsibilities include documentation, following agency requirements, and promoting communication. Paid training and PTO accompany a meaningful, rewarding work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with special needs preferred.
• Experience with children or young adults preferred.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle REQUIRED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Dependable, accountable, and punctual.
• U.S. Citizen or valid work authorization.
• Complete required paid DSP training after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in the home and community.
• Help individuals achieve personal goals.
• Encourage communication, socialization, and independence.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Document services and progress.
• Follow agency and OPWDD requirements.
