Job summary

Help at Home is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

The role emphasizes flexible schedules, competitive pay starting at $17/hour, paid orientation, and benefits. You’ll help clients with daily living skills, social activities, and goal progression while documenting care and coordinating with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background check and required training.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community.
• Assist with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, personal care, transportation).
• Encourage participation in social and community activities.
• Help individuals set and achieve personal goals.
• Promote choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Accurately document care, activities, and progress; communicate with the team.
