Job summary

ORO in Newark, NJ seeks drivers for a flexible, ride‑hailing role. You’ll transport passengers through the Uber app, with a vehicle provided at no cost and opportunities for bonuses and tips. Safety is prioritized, with clean, inspected vehicles and camera systems in use.

Shifts are up to five per week, including weekends, with morning and late afternoon blocks. You’ll be paid hourly, not per trip, and must meet age and license requirements plus have a smartphone to operate the app.

Qualifications

• Must be 23 years of age or older.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license.
• Minimum one year of licensed driving experience.
• Drivers under 25 must have a minimum of three years of licensed driving experience.
• Personal smartphone required.
• Fluent in English (read, write and speak).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers who you connect with through the Uber app.
• Deliver a friendly, professional experience and respond to passenger needs.
• Assist passengers with loading and unloading items.
• Use GPS and maps to determine optimal routes.
• Follow all company safety procedures and protect company assets.
• Complete required pre and post‑shift vehicle inspections.
• Retrieve and return vehicles during each shift.
