Job summary

OneWell Health Care seeks a Direct Support Professional in Norwich, CT to provide person-centered, community-based support to individuals with IDD and Autism. You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and help with community participation in residential and day settings.

The DSP will work within ISPs and BSPs, ensuring compliance with CT regulations, HIPAA, and agency policies while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 18+ age minimum.
• Experience with IDD/behavioral support preferred.
• CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certs preferred but not required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to individuals with IDD and Autism.
• Assist with daily living activities and community participation.
• Monitor health and safety, document notes accurately.
• Follow ISPs, BSPs, and state/federal regulations.
• Assist with transportation and appointments as needed.
