Job summary

Visiting Angels Waco is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes.

We are seeking a Caregiver with weekday and weekend availability. Shifts range from 1 to 12 hours, with a minimum of 20 hours per week. You will drive to and between client homes in Waco and surrounding areas, with bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• MUST have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly.
• MUST be able to work weekends.
• Be over 18 years old.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History check.
• Professional references.

Responsibilities

• Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care, etc.).
• Medication reminders.
• Monitoring/safety supervision.
• Meal preparation.
• Light housekeeping.
• Laundry, errands and shopping.
• Ambulation/mobility assistance, including lifting 50lbs and above.
• Supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly in case of an emergency.
• Transportation to and from appointments.
