Job summary
Bevara is seeking a Flex Building Engineer to provide world‑class service at our commercial airport properties in the Northeast Houston area on an as‑needed basis. You will support the Building Engineering team and train with a full‑time Engineer a few hours a month to stay current, stepping in as backup during vacations or emergencies.
The ideal candidate is proactive, self‑motivated, and versatile—a true jack of all trades with a flexible schedule.
Qualifications
- Flexible schedule; retired engineer or small-business owner encouraged.
- “3–5 years of experience in commercial building operations and engineering” preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular assessments of building systems.
- Perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and respond to service requests for interior/exterior equipment.
- Manage work order requests for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
- Maintain an ongoing task list for the property management team.
- Serve as primary contact for vendors; oversee check-in/out and escort to work areas.
- Assist with fire panel and extinguisher inspections.
- Ensure a safe job site and comply with safety standards.
- Act professionally aligned with company values.
