St. Luke's Health–Sugar Land Hospital in Sugar Land, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float/Flex Team. You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care, perform skilled procedures, and implement patient care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset with a focus on excellent patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ASN in Nursing degree or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• Registered Nurse in TX (license) upon hire; CPR certification within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care in a cost-effective, quality-driven way.
• Performs ongoing assessment, forms nursing diagnoses and goals, plans interventions, evaluates outcomes.
• Documents in patient/unit records per health system standards to meet legal/quality requirements.
• Provides patient and family teaching on Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Falls prevention, Diabetes and Discharge instructions.
• Demonstrates commitment to patient, Hospital and nursing profession through ethical decision-making and patient safety.
• Uses evidence-based interventions and participates in research activities with Outcomes managers.

• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure appropriate patient care is provided in a cost effective, quality driven, and patient focused manner. Collects pertinent social, psychological, developmental and spiritual data from the patient, significant others and other health care team members.
• Performs as ongoing assessment, formulates nursing diagnosis and goals, plans appropriate interventions, and evaluates the outcome of the interventions.
• Consistently documents in the patient and unit records according to written health system standards of care in order to meet legal and quality patient care requirements.
• Provides appropriate teaching and information to patients and families including information on Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall prevention, Diabetes, Disease Process, Smoking Cessation, and Discharge instructions
• Demonstrates commitment to the goals and values of the patient, Hospital, community and nursing profession through cost containment measures, maintaining confidentiality, appropriate ethical decision –making, and ensuring patient safety.
• Uses interventions substantiated by research as appropriate in the patient population, Participates in research activities, identifies opportunities for research, and collaborates with the Outcomes managers and department.

• Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire

Pay Range
