Job summary

Allied Universal in Union, NJ seeks a Security Officer Flex Unarmed Patrol Relief to support multiple client sites across healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. You will work 30–40 hours per week with shifts that change weekly through manager assignments and the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Qualifications

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling as a Branch Flex employee.
• Be able to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as permitted by law.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence
• Warn violators of rule infractions
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and incidents; maintain logs
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders
