Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Unarmed Patrol in Gahanna, OH. This role offers 30–40 hours per week with a variable schedule, manager-assigned and self-scheduled shifts, and irregular shift patterns to support client needs.

The position provides hands-on experience across diverse sites and opportunities for career growth within Allied Universal, a leader in security services. Pay rate is $19.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel required distances for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation according to federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure lawful removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
