Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex in Reston, VA. You will work 30–40 hours per week on varied shifts, with the Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift scheduling program.

You may work irregular shifts with little advance notice to support client needs and gain broad site exposure. The role requires an active DoD Secret Clearance, a high school diploma or equivalent, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering or carrying forbidden articles.
• Monitor entrances and exits and verify authorized access.
• Investigate incidents and maintain post logs and reports.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
