Job summary

DSI Security Services in Joliet, IL is hiring a Full-Time Flex Security Officer to serve the Joliet/South Suburbs area. The role requires open availability and a commitment to excellent customer service and security duties for our clients.

You will maintain a safe environment, follow post instructions, participate in training, and interact professionally with clients and the public. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour. DSI offers competitive benefits including vision and medical insurance.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with written and oral communication skills.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Open availability to work flexible hours.
• Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and Illinois PERC.
• Reliable transportation and communication.
• Must meet all pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
• Promote safety by observing, correcting, and reporting hazards.
• Follow DSI and client requirements and post instructions.
• Participate in training and learn safety procedures.
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, and staff.
• Conduct routine foot patrols and moderate lifting.
• Work in all weather conditions.

OPEN AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with DSI and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual.
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
• Perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting as required.
• Work in all-weather elements as needed.
