The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Flex Medical Technician to join the CHS Lab Flex Pool. Under supervision, you will perform a variety of complex and routine diagnostic laboratory tests across multiple sections and prepare specimens for analysis.

Qualifications include a BS in Medical Technology or related field, ASCP BOC certification (or equivalent), and the ability to obtain certification within the first year of employment.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field.
• ASCP BOC certification (or equivalent); if not certified, must obtain within first year.
• No prior experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform a variety of diagnostic laboratory tests per established protocols.
• Prepare specimens for microscopic examination or testing procedures.
• Operate automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Perform quality control and assurance procedures.
• Record lab results in the specified system and maintain privacy and safety procedures.
