Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living in on-campus student homes and guiding 8-13 students. This role combines daily supervision, scheduling, wellness, and faith-based activities in a structured home-like environment.

Eligible couples must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses 27+, and willing to transition into a placed home with continued student care. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (no proselytizing).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Supporting various student homes on a nine-on/three-off schedule and transitioning to a placed home.
