Job summary

Royal Ambulance is hiring full-time EMT-Bs in California. Base pay is $21.00 per hour with a competitive total rewards package including PTO, 401k match, healthcare coverage, and other benefits.

As an EMT-B you will provide basic life support, patient assessment, medication administration and transport, working within county protocols and Royals processes to ensure quality patient care and exceptional service.

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certified EMT in the State of California.
  • Valid CA Driver's License AND Ambulance Driver's License.
  • Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Valid AHA CPR Card.
  • FEMA/NFPA ICS-100, ICS-700, AWR-160.
  • Immunizations: Positive Titer or boosters within 10 years; TB test within 1 year.

Responsibilities

  • As an EMT-B, operate within county protocols and Royal's processes to deliver quality patient care and service.
  • Provide basic life support, patient assessment, medication administration, airway management and transport decisions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare leaders and EMS providers to ensure continuum of care.
  • Be prepared for Code 2 and Code 3 runs.
  • Address patient/customer needs to determine appropriate treatment and action.
  • Remain calm in stressful situations and execute duties to the best of your ability.
  • Run Code 2’s and Code 3’s as required.

Important Note: We are currently hiring Full-Time EMTs only who have open availability and are able to start as soon as possible.

Salary/Rate Details: The base range for this position is $21.00 per hour. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown. Responsibilities
  • As an EMT-B, you will function within the scope of each county's clinical and operational protocols, as well as abide by all of Royals processes, policies, quality standards and expectations of quality patient care and exceptional customer service.
  • Provide basic life support, patient assessment, medication administration, airway management, and determine the nature and extent of illness or injury/establish priority for required emergency care and transport.
  • Engage with healthcare leaders and EMS Providers to ensure continuum of care (Physicians, Nurse Managers, Transfer Center Coordinators, Charge Nurses etc.)
  • Be prepared for Code 2 and possible Code 3 runs.
  • Understand, address and resolve patient/customer needs to ensure the most appropriate treatment and/or course of action.
  • Remain calm while working in difficult and stressful situations, and stay focused while carrying out the functions of the position to the best of your ability.
  • Run Code 2’s and Code 3’s as required.
Qualifications

  • Immunizations: Must show Positive Titer OR Boosters within the last 10 years (HepB, MMR, TDAP, Varicella); TB Test within one year.
