PROCESSBARRON MASTER in United States (Alabama) is seeking a hands-on Fabrication Technician to read engineering drawings and set up the Flex Drill. You will program the drill, select tooling, and operate crane or forklift to move parts safely.

You'll build steel structures, inspect finished work, maintain a clean 5S workplace, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires basic math, tolerance understanding, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to interpret precise dimensions and tolerances.
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• 2 years blueprint reading preferred.
• Strong math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Build steel structures to engineer specs.

Job description:Able to read and interpret drawings to properly select the correct materials as specified. Ability to determine and interpret precise dimensions (lengths, widths, thickness, angles, etc) and material specification of parts and materials within tolerances as specified. Ability to set up, start, operate and maintain the Flex Drill in accordance with owner’s manual and Process Barron safety guidelines and requirements. Able to program the Flex Drill based on specified dimensions, hole size, clearances, spacing, etc and select appropriate tooling to maintain specified tolerances. Ability to operate crane, forklift, or other mechanisms to safely lift, move, place and manipulate parts and materials. Organizational ability to perform material takeoff, part counts, inventory counts as used and/or returned to inventory. Organizes and packages or arranges finished parts in a manner that promotes ease of next operation.
