Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Flex Armed / Tactical Security Officer in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role requires patrolling diverse sites such as retail, airports, and detention centers, with a strong emphasis on situational awareness and risk anticipation.

You must hold a state security license and BSIS 32-hour trainings, be at least 21, and have armed security experience with active firearm, baton, and OC spray permits. Uniform is provided and benefits included.

Qualifications

• State security license and BSIS 32-hour trainings (can be obtained during hiring).
• Must be 21 years of age.
• One year armed security experience required.
• Active exposed firearm permit required.
• Baton permit required.
• OC spray permit required.
• Handcuff permit required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post checks of officers under supervision.
• Train new officers.
• Ensure 100% site coverage and zero dark posts.
• Issue corrective action forms (CAFs).
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check alarms and cameras for proper function.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure safety and protection of individuals and property.

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

• No set schedule: Candidates must be flexible and available to work any day of the week and any shift (day, swing, or overnight) as scheduling needs may vary.

Responsibilities Of a Flex Armed / Tactical Security Officer

• Conducting post checks of officers under your supervision


• Training new officers


• Make sure you have 100 % coverage of your site to insure there are zero dark posts


• Issue corrective action forms (CAFs)


• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity


• Verify identities and control access to secure areas


• React quickly to threats or incidents


• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras


• Document incidents and actions taken


• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks


• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents


• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications of for a Flex Armed / Tactical Security Officer

• You have a state security license and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)


• Must be 21 years of age


• Must have one year of armed security experience


• Must have active exposed firearm permit


• Must have baton permit


• Must have OC spray permit


• Must have handcuff permit


• Please include your most up to date security resume


• Be authorized to work in the U.S.


• Be able to provide documentation of HS Diploma or GED


• First aid certification is an asset


• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
