Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Flex Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support the Teterboro, NJ or White Plains, NY hubs. You will perform general mechanical work, troubleshoot aircraft systems, remove/install panels, and assist with engine removals and inspections.

A high school diploma or equivalent and an Airframe and Powerplant License are required. The role offers medical, dental, 401(k) with match, holiday and PTO, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; A&P license required.
• Driver's license and/or passport ideal for travel.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with aircraft systems and components.
• De-fuel aircraft.
• Engine removal and installation.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect aircraft and components; assist in performance runs/taxing.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Notify Lead Mechanic of problems and provide progress reports.
