Job summary

Plastic Express is seeking a General Labor position to support our bulk terminal operations. You will rinse trailer interiors per procedure, wash tractors and trailers, and maintain the yard and wash area in a busy outdoor environment.

The role requires physical labor, the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and comfort performing duties on top of tank trailers. Local travel to rail sidings may be involved for inventory purposes.

Qualifications

• Minimum education required: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical labor for a full shift outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be willing and able to perform tasks on top of tank trailers.

Responsibilities

• Wash and detail tractors inside and out.
• Wash trailers inside and out.
• Blow down or wash the inside of trailers.
• Polish and shine tires and wheels.
• Sweep and maintain the truck yard.
• Wash and maintain the wash area.
• Assist with inventory at rail sidings as needed.

Job Summary

General labor position. Rinsing trailer interiors per specific procedure. Washing and detailing Plastic Express tractors inside and out. Wheel and tire polishing on tractors and trailers.

Essential Functions/Duties

• Wash and detail tractors inside and out
• Wash trailers inside
• Blow down or wash the inside of trailers
• Wash out hoses
• Polish and shine tires and wheels
• Sweep and maintain the truck yard
• Truck yard landscape maintenance
• Clean and maintain the wash area
• Dependable personal vehicle, as the employee would be involved with travel to rail sidings for inventory purposes
• Must be willing, capable and comfortable to perform tasks on top of tank trailers

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum education required: high school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. These tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Ability to perform physical labor for a minimum of 8 hours per day
• Physical ability to climb, bend, and squat under trailers
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 56 pounds
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions
• Must be able to work Monday through Saturday

Work Environment

Expected to operate in a bulk terminal setting, outdoors, around heavy machinery while always observing all safety rules.
