Job summary

Kerr Industries in Livonia, MI, part of the Safe Fleet family, is hiring a full-time Material Handler/Picker/Packer/Shipper/Receiver. You will report to the Production Manager and support purchasing, ensuring timely and accurate material flow.

We seek energetic, career-driven individuals with a background in production/inventory control, knowledge of automotive components, and proficiency with MS Office and NAV-like ERP systems. On-site role with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and customer service experience.
• Minimum 1 year in material handling or related role.
• Experience with automotive or electrical components is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; NAV/Navision or similar ERP preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be a constructive team player.
• Forklift experience preferred; lifting up to 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory by labeling and locating materials, recording locations.
• Allocates inventory to proper area based on PO's.
• Unloads deliveries and verifies shipments against orders.
• Receives, inspects, and records inbound shipments in NAV.
• Counts stock and assists with cycle counts.
• Prepares outbound loading and prints shipping labels.
• Operates forklift to move materials as needed.
• Pre-kits for automotive upfitting and prepares subassemblies.
