Job summary

Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA) seeks a Transportation and Fleet Manager to plan, organize, and direct the maintenance and operation of RCMA's vehicle fleet across multiple centers in Florida.

The role requires oversight of transportation training, compliance with Head Start and state/federal regulations, and collaboration with risk and fiscal teams to ensure cost-effective operations. An on-site position with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate/bachelor’s in business or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of state, local, and federal regulations governing transportation of children.
• Strong knowledge of school bus transportation systems and Head Start standards.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Knowledge of Early Childhood Education principles and age-appropriate child development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards for fleet operations and vehicle care.
• Procure titles, registrations, and state inspections.
• Develop and deliver transportation training programs and partner with training agencies.
• Maintain records of vehicle usage and repair expenditures for internal control.
• Collaborate with Risk Management on liability coverage for vehicles and equipment.
• Coordinate vehicle replacement and repair processes to minimize downtime.
• Assist with vendor selection, bidding, and contract documentation.
