Job summary

Roehl Transport, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Training Manager to guide newly licensed CDL drivers through the Get Your CDL program. You will mentor trainees, verify training adherence, and help them transition to the mainstream fleet after meeting performance benchmarks.

In this role, you will collaborate with drivers and teams to ensure productive freight, on-time deliveries, and a strong work/life balance. A focus on safety and continuous learning is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching CDL drivers through training programs.

Responsibilities

• Mentor drivers through Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the Get Your CDL program and verify training adherence.
• Coach drivers on trip planning, hours of service, safety, and onboard technology usage.
• Collaborate with drivers, customer service, and Team Roehl to ensure productive freight and on-time deliveries.
• Promote drivers to the mainstream fleet after meeting training expectations.

Job description

The Opportunity:

Now is your chance to help move America's freight as a Fleet Training Managerwith Roehl Transport, a Forbes Magazine Best Mid-Sized Employer, and an ATA Presidents' Award-winning carrier! In this role,you make a difference by supporting newly licensed CDL drivers as they complete Phase 2 and 3 of our Get Your CDL (GYCDL) Program.
During Phase 2 new drivers will be in the truck with a Certified Driver Trainer for 26 days. You willbe verifying and validating that the training modules are being followed and that the new driver is effectively applying the training to the job.
During Phase 3 new drivers will run solo. You will bementoring your drivers and ensuring that they have synthesized their learning and are able to manage their work on their own. You will validate that they are able to effectively plan their trips, manage their hours of service, operate their equipment safely, and use the onboard technology effective. Once your driver has met our training expectations, you promote them to our mainstream fleet.

In this role, you work directly with drivers, our customer service team, and other members of TeamRoehl to develop business, find creative solutions and build strong relationships established on trust. In addition, you support your driver's success by coaching them, ensuring they have productive freight to haul, deliver on time and accident-free, and maintain a solid work/life balance.
