Dallas Trailer Repair Co. is seeking a Fleet Trailer Maintenance Mechanic (Chassis & Body) in Dallas to inspect, diagnose, and repair trailers to manufacturer specifications. The role includes preventive maintenance, body/undercarriage work, and documentation using checklists.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of hands-on mechanical experience, basic math skills, and a safety-minded approach. ASE certifications are preferred but not required, and a personal tool set is expected.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in mechanical roles or equivalent hands-on experience.
• ASE certifications preferred but not mandatory.
• English reading and writing skills for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics on trailers and related equipment to pinpoint issues and faulty components.
• Complete repair orders to manufacturer specifications and recognized industry standards.
• Deliver routine preventive maintenance to keep equipment performance-ready.
• Carry out trailer body and undercarriage work, including air bag replacement, cross-members, dolly legs, and tandem systems.
• Use checklists to plan, document, and verify each repair step.
• Keep tools and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and best practices.
• Work collaboratively with teammates while maintaining the ability to operate independently.
