DeKalb County is seeking a tire maintenance technician to service the County's vehicle fleet, heavy trucks, and off-road equipment. The role involves mounting, inflating, balancing tires and performing repairs in the shop and in the field.

A CDL is required within six months of starting employment and the position is safety sensitive with random drug testing. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of tire maintenance experience or an equivalent

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in tire maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Operates tire maintenance equipment and tools to perform tire changes, repairs and inflation for County vehicles.
• Inspects tires for damage or wear and initiates repair or replacement work orders as needed.
• Maintains tire inventory and updates records.
• Conducts road and field calls to repair or replace tires and related equipment.
