Job summary
Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers. The role offers hands-on work with the latest fleet technology and opportunities for ASE/I-CAR certifications.
You will travel to customer sites for on-site or mobile installations, maintain safety standards, and learn new technology in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in automotive repair or electrical systems preferred.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
- Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
- Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
- Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
- Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
- Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
- Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
