Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions in Green Bay, WI is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology on light vehicles, trucks, tractors, and trailers. You will perform 12V/24V wiring, route wiring for clean installs, test systems, and document work with photos and service notes.

Travel to customer sites for mobile projects and uphold safety and right-first-time quality.

Qualifications

Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working independently in a mobile environment.
Professional communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
