Qualifications

  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other system malfunctions on vehicles and equipment.
  • Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and schematics to identify and repair issues accurately.
  • Perform advanced repairs: engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and parts inventory.
  • Follow safety procedures and regulations (DOT, OSHA) and keep a clean work area.
  • Assist with washing and detailing as needed and guide Fleet Technician I staff.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or parts.

Factors that may be used to determine rate of pay include specific skills, work location, work experience and other individualized factors**Purpose**The Fleet Technician II performs a wider range of maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on company vehicles and equipment, ensuring their safe and efficient operation. This role requires a higher level of skill and experience than the Fleet Technician I, with the ability to work more independently, diagnose complex issues, and perform more advanced repairs.
