Frito-Lay North America, Inc. is seeking Experienced Fleet Technicians in California to maintain, repair, and diagnose a mixed fleet of gas, diesel, and EV trucks. You will manage parts, charge labor to work orders, and support drivers in a safety-focused environment.

This is a physical, hands-on role requiring 18+ and the ability to lift 50+ lbs; weekend shifts may apply. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered based on performance and eligibility, with comprehensive benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: 18+ years old, may work weekends/holidays, lift 50 lbs or more, squat/kneel/crawl for extended periods, work under trucks for long shifts.
• Three (3) years of experience in light/medium duty gas or diesel engine repair.
• Able to work in tight spaces and handle demanding physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, diagnose mechanical issues, and document work orders.
• Manage parts inventory and bill labor to corresponding work orders.
• Assist entry-level mechanics with more difficult repairs as needed.
• Build vendor relationships for parts estimates and coordinate with drivers and shop staff.
• Operate safely in a fast-paced fleet environment.

Frito-Lay Fleet Technicians are essential to our team because they work on our fleet vehicles and keep our drivers safe. Are you looking for a job at a company that rewards the mechanically gifted? You may already be familiar with what this position entails. You will help us maintain and repair our vehicles, diagnose mechanical issues, manage parts inventory, and charge parts and labor to work orders. We asked our Fleet Technicians what else we should let you know about working here, and this is what the team had to say about frequent tasks you can expect to perform:

• We work on, medium duty, gas & diesel trucks, Electric Vehicle (EV) trucks, Hydraulics, liftgates, brakes, steering and suspension, the starting and charging of vehicles, emissions and drivability diagnosis, and tires.
• We complete light engine repair, repair water injectors, fuel pumps, and service electrical and battery systems.
• You will use your extensive knowledge to assist entry-level mechanics with difficult repairs.
• You will build relationships with vendors when getting estimates for parts or labor.
• You will interact with a variety of Frito-Lay drivers, from professional truck drivers to salespeople.
• This is a physical job which often involves working in tight spaces under vehicles.

This is an experienced position. Here are our minimum requirements for you to consider prior to filling out our application:

• You are at least 18 years of age or older
• You may be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift
