Job summary

Primo Brands is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment at Primo Brands locations. The role requires CDL-B with airbrake where applicable, a high school diploma, and DOT readiness.

Responsibilities include responding to field service calls, ordering parts, maintaining vehicle history, and clear communication with drivers and management. Expect 45+ hour weeks and variable start/end times.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a CDL Class B with airbrake endorsement where applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Ability to lift 45 lbs repeatedly and handle 250+ units daily.
• Strong customer-facing skills and ability to work in varying weather.
• Clean driving record with limited license history.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all fleet vehicles within Primo Brands locations.
• Respond to field service calls and order parts as needed.
• Maintain inventory and document all maintenance phases, including diagnostics.
• Communicate with drivers and management regarding service status.
• Maintain a unit history file for each vehicle.

Responsibilities

• The Fleet Mechanic position is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment as assigned.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all fleet vehicles within assigned Primo Brands locations.
• Respond to field service calls.
• Order mechanical components, services and parts and maintain inventory.
• Perform and document all phases of vehicle maintenance and repair, including diagnostics.
• Maintain communication with drivers and management regarding maintenance and service of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain a unit history file for each vehicle.

Qualifications

• Ability to secure and/or maintain a CDL Class B with airbrake endorsement (for applicable CDL positions)
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
• Service-oriented with strong face-to-face sales skills
• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and in different types of weather
• Ability to effectively interact with customers in a variety of settings
• Ability to lift and carry an average of 250+ units per day, each weighing up to 45 lbs., using product handling tools as appropriate, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle on average 40-55 times per day
• Ability to work an average 45-hour week or more, including variable start/end times
• Ability to alternately sit, stand, push, pull and walk all day, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• You must have the ability to obtain a DOT medical card for the purpose of working for Primo Brands. You must possess a clean driving record, which means: in the last 3 years, that you’ve only had 1 license, no driving-related suspension, revocation or cancellation, no disqualifying offenses, no more than 2 moving violations and no reckless driving incidents and in the last 3 years, no major driving offenses including DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at-fault fatal accident.
• Must be 21 years of age or older (DOT requirement)
