Job summary

The City of Galveston is seeking a Fleet Service Technician to perform routine vehicle maintenance and repairs at the City’s Garage. You will conduct oil changes, tune ups and inspections on a variety of fleet vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability for city operations.

You will interact with citizens and City staff professionally, follow safety procedures, and participate in emergency readiness. A high school diploma and at least one year of automotive experience are required, plus a Texas

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION: Texas Driver's License PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed both in an outdoor and indoor work environment.
