Job summary

Walmart Distribution Center in Grove City, OH is seeking a Service Shop Repair Technician to maintain fleet readiness. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and shop equipment to keep equipment safe and road‑worthy.

This full‑time role requires experience with mechanical repairs, diagnostic tools, and precise documentation of work orders and warranties. Shifts may vary; competitive hourly pay and strong benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
Valid state driver's license required.
Brake inspection qualifications per FMCSA regulations 396.25.

Responsibilities

Perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles).
Create and process work orders; assess needs, identify parts, consult as needed, and select repair solutions.
Conduct diagnostics using technical/electronic equipment on engines, electronics, drivetrains, HVAC.
Receive fuel drops, monitor safety compliance, and collect/prepare fuel samples and paperwork.
Identify warrantable repairs and complete warranty entries and claims.
