An established industry player in ambulance manufacturing seeks a detail-oriented individual to enhance operations through effective scheduling and timekeeping. This role involves managing the production schedule, ensuring efficient vehicle disposal, and collaborating across departments to drive continuous improvement. This position involves working with all departments to facilitate, refine, and improve the efficiency of ambulance manufacturing and refurbishment operations by managing scheduling, timekeeping, the production schedule, and input of labor times in our manufacturing system. Ensure all vehicles are disposed of and documented. Assist with vehicle shipping and receiving.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Degree in a related field (preferred).
One (1) year of related experience.
Valid Driver's License, Lean / Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Ability to lift and handle heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
Manual dexterity for handling small parts and components.
Comfort working in various weather conditions.
Extended periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Schedule:
Maintain the production schedule from the time the vehicle ships to NextFleet until the vehicle is shipped to its final destination. Maintain all aspects of the production schedule including donors, refurbishments, new chassis, NFC vehicles, remounts, and new ambulances.
Assign vehicles to builds. Assist AMR business units, national fleet maintenance, national fleet purchasing, and NextFleet in scheduling production, refurb, remount, and vehicle upfits.
Manufacturing Time Input:
Input work hours into RTA, spreadsheets, and other systems daily to monitor billed vs. paid hours.
Vehicle Disposal and Disposition:
Coordinate sales, dismantling, storage, and distribution of used vehicles and parts. Document all vehicle sales and disposals accurately.
Notify GMR lien holds of fleet changes.
Administrative:
Maintain and coordinate uniform purchases, rentals, and other vendor services.
Manage FedEx shipping bills and monthly reporting.
Work with leadership and finance to develop KPIs.
Prepare reports and documents for review and analysis. Assist with titling processes including MSOs, titles, Bills of Sale, and registration.
Perform front office tasks: answer calls, greet guests, monitor office supplies, and place orders as needed.
Reporting:
Provide analytical support and modeling for plant production.
File Management:
Maintain organized digital and paper files for easy access and future reference.
Timekeeping:
Maintain and coordinate Kronos and Telestaff schedules, including daily punches, PTO, TEFs, bereavement, etc.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with manufacturing teams, engineers, and stakeholders to address concerns and implement corrective actions.
Customer Service:
Provide superior customer service and feedback in a clear and concise manner.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in initiatives to enhance product quality and processes. Provide feedback for improvements.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards. Report hazards or concerns.
Resource Assistance:
Advise leadership on resource needs including equipment, tools, materials, and safety supplies.
